How much does a website cost
A website starts at $500. You get one number after a short conversation, before anything begins, and it does not move along the way.
The short answer
From $500 for a website that presents your business: a home page, services, an about page and a contact form. A single landing page costs less than that. A larger website or an online store costs more.
The exact number comes after a short conversation, before I start working. Once I have said it, it does not change. No extra line items at the end and no surprise on the invoice.
What you can ask for
- A landing page, one page built for a campaign or a promotion
- A business website, the usual four or five pages
- A larger business website, for more services or more than one market
- An online store, with a catalogue, a basket and payment
Each one is quoted on its own. The bigger the job, the more rounds of revision it carries, between two and four.
How the price is set
Every project is priced on its own, for the market it sells in and the job it has to do. That way the number fits your business exactly.
What does not change is the mechanism. You describe the job, I give one number, and that number holds until the website is live.
If you are in Serbia, the Serbian page carries the full list in euros.
What the price includes
- A design drawn from scratch, made for your business alone
- Hand written code, with no monthly add-on costs
- The copy for your website, if you do not have it, included in the price
- Two to four rounds of revisions, depending on the size of the job
- Putting it on your domain, with everything in your name from the first day
- Testing on a phone and on a desktop before it goes live
- A score of 97 to 100 on every speed metric, otherwise it does not go live
What raises the price
The price grows with the scope of the work, not with the hours. What usually raises it:
- More pages than the job first looked like it needed
- A website in two languages
- Photographs that have to be prepared or sourced
- More design changes than the package includes
All of that is said upfront, once I can see what you need. Never along the way.
Why the price is fixed
Because the risk belongs with the person doing the work. If it takes me longer, that cost is mine. You know the number from the first day and can plan around it.
What you pay, but not to me
The domain is paid to the registrar, fifteen to twenty dollars a year, and it is in your name from the first day. Hosting costs nine dollars a month.
More frequent changes can add to that cost.
What you never pay separately
- Monthly licences, because the website runs without them
- The copy, because it is already in the price
- Maintenance as a condition. It exists, but it is never a condition of handover
Changing the content yourself
You can, if we agree in advance that the website gets its own CMS, so you change the text and the images yourself. Without one, changes go through me, through the revisions or through monthly maintenance.
How you pay
PayPal, crypto, cash or an invoice. Whichever suits you.
How long it takes
A first version in 2 to 3 days, and the finished website live in 5 to 7. What decides it is how quickly you can get me the information and the content. The rest is not your problem, I take care of it.
To see how it turns out, look at the work for Slatka Obmana, BUM! Studio, LoveTypes, Dnevni Čistač and LinkedTour.
